SPLASHDOG CANINE WATER THERAPY HOSTS THE FIRST ANNUAL
FIRDALE FURRY FESTIVAL

SplashDog is putting on their 1st Annual Firdale Furry Festival on Saturday, October 24th from 12-4. This is an event to raise money for the SplashDog scholarship fund which helps low income families and rescue agencies get water therapy for in-need dogs. It will also benefit the educational outreach of SplashDog's water therapy.

The Festival will feature local animal related businesses as well as some groups and businesses that just want to support us and get exposure of their services and products. There will be a raffle and sidewalk sale as well.

ATTN POTENTIAL VENDORS:
If you or someone you know would like to be a vendor at our event, animal related business or not, please contact me for more information.

Donation items needed:
We need donated items to sell in the sidewalk sale portion of the event. We are looking for things such as pet items (horse/dog/cat), household items, collectibles, books, children’s items, etc.. (please no LARGE items such as furniture, etc. unless you are willing to pick the unsold items up at 4:00pm). The money raised from the donated items will go to SplashDog's education/scholarship/animal causes. Any items left over from the sidewalk sale will be donated to such places as Value Village, Deseret Industries, pet causes.
If you have items to donate please let me know by Oct 15th to arrange the day/time to drop off at SplashDog.

Due to the requirements of my insurance work and marketing the classes that I teach, I found that I do not have the time right now to give the 2ndPaw store the attention it deserves. I do plan on putting it back together in the future.
Thank you to everyone who dealt with me. I hope to make the closure very temporary.

How many times have you noticed your dog running or walking with an odd gate, getting up or lying down slowly or stiffly, not wanting to go up or down stairs? Are there times you have thought your dog may be in pain or sore from too much exertion or old age?

Wouldn't you like to be able to safely and effectively massage your dog? There are many good reasons to massage a dog, things we don't think about usually. If you have a dog that works hard, plays hard, is older, has a physical problem, has had surgery, they would benefit from massage.

This class taught by J Linn Henline, a LMP (licensed massage practitioner) and SAMP (small animal massage practitioner), teaches you how to help. Learn some of the techniques the professionals use to help your dog achieve their optimum health and well-being.

You bring your dog, a mat or blanket to sit on the floor. You receive lots of hands-on practice time and instruction and hand-outs to help you continue your practice at home.

$40 per person/dog

Informative and fun, group class teaches important first response
techniques for common first aid situations as well as rescue breathing, CPR, disaster preparedness and pet first aid kit information.

A sample of first aid emergencies reviewed:
Choking, burns, poisoning, cuts, bone injuries, auto accident, and more

Taught by J Linn Henline, a Red Cross certified pet first aid/CPR teacher, these classes are hands on taught with pet manikins and each student receives a Red Cross first aid book and dvd to keep.

$50 per person (dogs do not attend this class)
